REPUBLICA, July 7: The government of Nepal has welcomed the improving relations between the United States of America and the Republic of Cuba. Issuing a press statement on Tuesday, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said the announcement by both the governments to reopen embassies in each other's capital is a major step forward in this direction.

"As a friendly country and also as a staunch supporter of global peace and harmony, Nepal believes that the normalization of relations between the two countries will contribute significantly in promoting peace and stability in the region and beyond," said the statement.
