Nepal, which had gone down to Afghanistan earlier in the tournament, finished with eight points, two adrift of the South Asian rival in the event played in round-robin league format. Malaysia finished third with six points.

Sushil Kandel produced an extraordinary bowling figures for Nepal on Thursday handing Saudi Arabia its fifth defeat. Sushil bagged four wickets in his 10-over spell with nine maiden overs and conceded 12 runs. Sunil had also claimed four wickets of the UAE in Nepal's opening match of the tournament.
On Thursday, winning the toss and opting to bat first, Saudi Arabia was bowled out for 55 runs in 33.2 overs after only two batsmen scored in double digits.
Having better results against the opponent in previous two encounters, Nepal took control of the match as opener Farhan Patel was run out by wicketkeeper as well as skipper Raju Rijal in the second ball of the second over with only one run on board.
However, another opener Faisal Khan (19 runs off 14 balls) shared a 22-run partnership with Furkhan Sameer (3 off 32) for the second wicket, but that did not help Saudi Arabia as it lost next four wickets scoring only two runs.
Later, Zain (11) played some good knock as he hit a six and a four facing only four balls in an attempt to guide Saudi Arabia to a respectable total, but it was too late.
Besides, Sushil's four-wicket haul, Sunil Dhamala and Prem Tamang claimed two wickets each to restrict the opponents for the low score.
In the run chase, Nepal met the 56-run target in nine overs losing a wicket. Sunil top-scored for Nepal with 34 runs while Raju contributed 14 runs. Both of them remained unbeaten to guide Nepal to victory. Sunil hit two sixes and three fours while Raju hit two sixes facing 20 balls.
Shankar Rana (4 off 14) was bowled by Sami Munshi in the 4.2 over.
Earlier, Nepal recorded a 149-run win over the UAE in the opener but lost to Afghanistan in the second match by 10 wickets before bouncing back to defeat Malaysia by eight wickets and Kuwait by 83 runs.
The United Arab Emirates finished fourth, Kuwait fifth and Saudi Arabia remained at the rock-bottom of the table losing all five matches.
