Nepal beats LB Shastri Club

KATHMANDU, March 7: Nepal defeated LB Shastri Cricket Club, Delhi by five wickets in a T20 friendly match on Thursday. Nepal, which is touring India in its preparation bid for the upcoming ACC T20 Cup and ICC World Cricket League Division 3, decided to field first at the Bharat Nagar Academy Cricket Ground.



Nepal restricted LB Shastri Cricket Club to 107/9 in 20 overs as Basant Regmi, Chandra Sawad, Manjeet Shrestha and Amrit Bhattarai claimed two wickets each. [break]



Nitesh Rana top scored for the Indian club with 52 runs off 49 balls while Hiten Dalal added 16 runs off 16 balls. Chasing the total, Nepal reached 110/5 in 16.3 overs. Subash Khakurel scored 35 runs off 32 balls while Pradeep Airee garnered 29 runs off 29 balls.



Skipper Paras Khadka remained unbeaten with 25 runs off 16 balls.



Hiten Dalal and Siddharth Sehwag claimed two wickets each while Namit Gupta took a wicket. Nepal will take on Ranji Trophy semifinalist Services on Friday at the Bharat Nagar Academy Ground.
