Nepal beat Bhutan, enter semis

KUALALUMPUR, Malaysia, July 7: Nepal entered the semifinal of the ACC Women’s Twenty20 Championship cricket beating Bhutan by 8 wickets at Bayemas Oval, Malaysia on Tuesday. [break]



For Nepal’s fourth straight win, former captain Nary Thapa took five wickets to bowl out Bhutan for only 31 runs in 15.5 overs. Nepal needed 8.4 overs to complete the victory.

Nary also effected a run-out while Rekha Rawal picked up three wickets and Neera Rajopadhyay grabbed one.



For Nepal, Manisha Rawal (9) and Nary (3) were the batswomen to get out while Janaki Bhatta (7) and Saraswoti BK (6) remained not out.



Nepal meets Thailand on Wednesday for the match to decide the group winner.
