The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) sold the tickets from three counters--Sundhara, Thapathali and Tripureshwor.
Though, football fans were queuing for the tickets since 5 am today, more than half of the fans had to return empty handed as it was sold out within hour after going on sale at 8 am today. [break]
Dejected fans, who failed to get tickets, even staged demonstrations outside the ticket counters by chanting slogans against ANFA. Police had to intervene it to prevent any untoward incidents.
ANFA had earlier hiked the ticket prices for the semifinal and final matches. As per the new rate, the ordinary parapet is priced at Rs 500 and for the VIP parapet at Rs 1000 which were Rs 300 and Rs 700 respectively during the group stage matches. ANFA had also decided to sell a maximum of 10 tickets to a person.
Host Nepal is playing with Afghanistan 6:30 pm today at Dasharath Stadium to book a place in final.
