KATHMANDU, Sept 24: The Dalit Janajati Party (DJP) on Sunday wrote to the Constituent Assembly Chairman Subas Nembang notifying him about the party´s decision to remove its chairman and CA member Bishwendra Paswan with immediate effect.

Issuing a statement, the DJP made public a 29-point accusation against Paswan.[break]

The party said he had been obstructing constitution writing process in the CA against the party´s policy and at the behest of "monarchists".

"The party came up with a conclusion that he has committed countless inexcusable acts against the party´s interest and policy, therefore a two-thirds majority of the party´s central committee meeting on August 6 decided to suspend him from all party posts for a year," read a letter submitted to CA Chairman Nembang. While disrupting discussion at the CA´s Constitutional Committee (CC), he had thrown a chair from the fourth floor of the building and had snatched sheets of papers from CC Chairman Nilamber Acharya´s file in the midst of the CC meeting and tore them down into pieces. He also led a team of four lawmakers who had disrupted parliament meetings for several days. After several days of obstruction, the speaker had suspended them for seven days in June.

Nembang has forwarded the case to the parliament´s Business Advisory Committee to discuss and take appropriate decision.
