NC Prez to voters: Give NC two-third majority

CHITWAN, Oct 28: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sushil Koirala has urged the general voters to make the party winning in the November 19 Constituent Assembly (CA) election for peace and stability in the country.



Addressing an election gathering here in Geetanagar of the district on Monday, the NC President claimed that democratic constitution would not be drafted if the Congress lost the majority of CA seats. [break]



"Some political parties have a daydream about being the state executive chief with an intention of imposing dictatorship in the country, but their dream would never true," he said. The NC needs public goodwill and support to abort such dream. The first CA failed to promulgate a new constitution due to dominance of anarchists there, he claimed, urging the people to give two-third majority to the party in the upcoming election.



"Let´s make us winning in the election, we will draft a democratic constitution and bring drastic changes in the country within the next eight to ten years," the NC President urged the voters.



Expansion of Madithori postal road and its blacktopping is the top priority of the party. Our party is serious towards creating employment opportunity for youths, he added. NC President Koirala is busy in the election campaign here from where is contending in the election for the past one week.
