KATHMANDU, Nov 4: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Gagan Thapa presented the calendar of events for the party’s 15th General Convention at a Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting on Monday.
Thapa proposed holding the General Convention from December 31 to January 3.
Earlier, he had shared various proposed dates with the CWC, but several office bearers and former leaders from Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba’s faction insisted that the convention should not take place before the March 5 elections.
Meanwhile, sources say the establishment faction is preparing to propose its own schedule for the convention.
