In an informal meeting of the central working committee members in the party´s headquarters´ Sanepa, Koirala said that the party should not support any move to extend the term by six months.
In recent days, the ministers have publicly said that the term should be renewed for another six months.
"He (Koirala) asked central committee members to support him," said a central working committee member on condition of anonymity.
The member also told Republica that the Nepali Congress is holding talks with the CPN-UML on Thursday to seek the latter´s support in extending the CA term for only three months.
