KATHMANDU, Feb 12
: The Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting of Nepali Congress (NC) discussed formation of sitting chief justice (CJ)-led government to hold new Constituent Assembly elections at its party office in Sanepa on Tuesday.

The NC CWC members including KB Gurung, Bimalendra Nidhi, Narahari Acharya and Gagan Thapa, among others, aired their views on the formation of election government under the leadership of CJ, an idea floated by UCPN (Maoist).

Meanwhile, emerging from mid-way through the meeting, NC senior leader, Sher Bahadur Deuba said having a new government under the leadership of CJ would be embarrassing as that would reflect the political parties´ incompetency to pick new PM from within themselves.

Deuba, however, added that there is now hardly any option left than accepting an election government under the leadership of anyone for the sake of elections.

The meeting will resume tomorrow at 1 pm.
