Works have also been halted even if security personnel opened the locked main gate of the Municipality today.
Cadres of NC demonstrated at the Municipality a few days ago.Executive Officer at the Municipality, Ram Kumar Mahato, said there is no situation to carry out works as the NC cadres have warned of taking any action if works resume.
The Committee has put forth different demands including formation of a high-level committee to carry out investigation on corruption and scrapping of integrated property tax.
According to NC town representative, Arun KC, there is the involvement of the Municipality officials in irregularities as the Municipality did not keep the construction company in black list though it did not complete the road construction works at ward no. 6 of the municipality in time.
