KATHMANDU, April 23: Nepal Army has refuted news reports on Friday of NA officials meeting chairman and other members of Youth Association, the UML youth wing, as “totally false”.

A press statement issued by the Directorate of Public Relations of the NA said it is seriously concerned about the news reports published by some newspapers without any verification.

The army also refuted the news reports of NA chief briefing the PM on security situation and NA issuing circulars on keeping the army units on high alert as absolutely false.

The statement added that any news related to NA will be considered official only if it is issued by the top leadership or through the DPR.
