CHITWAN, Oct 31: A bomb disposal team of the Nepal Army has defused an improvised explosive device (IED) found in Bharatpur on Thursday morning.
The IED was found at Lanku Dharmachowk early Thursday, confirmed police.
A bomb disposal team from Shumsher Dal Battalion of the NA had safely defused the pipe bomb. [break]
Locals informed the police after they spotted a suspicious object with a signal ‘danger’ written on it at 4 AM today in the area.
No one has claimed the responsibility of planting the bomb so far. The investigating into the incident is underway, said police.
