A team of the District Public health Office that has gone to the areas for fact finding said that it could be malaria as per the initial investigation. The patients are being treated in Rupaidiya and Baharaich of India -the bordering areas of the district as they have no easy access to the district headquarters, Nepalgunj.
Ram Bahadur Chand, focal person at the District Public Health Office, said preparations are underway to send the additional health workers for further inquiry.
