Musical evening in Kolkota for quake victims

KATHMANDU, June 4: Popular Indian musical bands based in Kolkota, India are performing on Friday to raise fund for Nepal quake victims. In coordination with a renowned cultural institute, Bangla Natak Dot Com, three bands, Cactus, CRC, and Taal and Tantra, among others, are set to perform at an auditorium fit for 6,000 people in Bengal on Friday.

According to a statement issued by the organizers, the event is expected to draw "selected" audience both for entertainment and humanitarian cause.


The fund raised from the event "Bhalo Dekho Nepal," to be performed at the popular Narzul Manch, would be handed over to Nepal Consul General in Kolkota, Chandra Kumar Ghimire. The entry for the musical evening would be free but audience members would be "encouraged to donate," as per the organizers.
