MPRF suspends BP Yadav

KATHMANDU, Aug 17: Madhesi People´s Rights Forum (MPRF) has suspended its central committee member BP Yadav for accusing the party leadership of accepting money from the Maoists during the third round of voting for prime minister.



As the eleven MPRF Constituent Assembly member of the party crossed the floor in the third round of voting for prime minister, Yadav had claimed that the lawmakers breached the party´s whip because they were offered money by the Maoists.



The party had then sought written clarification from Yadav.



According to MPRF leader Abishekh Pratap Sah, Yadav´s suspension will be effective for six months.



The party has also removed Yadav from the publicity department of the party.
