Minister Yadav pitches for multi-ethnic federalism

BIRATNAGAR, Sept 5: Information and Communications Minister and Madhesi People´s Rights Forum-Republican (MPRF-R) Chairman Raj Kishor Yadav said on Wednesday that his party is in favor of identity-based multi-ethnic federalism.



Speaking to reporters at the Biratnagar airport, Yadav, also the government spokesperson, accused the major oppositions, Nepali Congress and CPN-UML,of posing against federalism and spreading rumors that single-identity based federalism will lead to the disintegration of the country. [break]



"Lets go for multi-identity based federalism that respects others´ identities while maintaining one´s own identity. This is what we said yesterday, and we are saying the same thing today as well," Yadav said.
