Meaningful afternoon to celebrate older lives

KATHMANDU, Oct 1: On the occasion of International Day of Older Persons on Tuesday, The British College Hatemalo Foundation decided to devote some time to the elderly living in New SADLE Nepal in Kapan. The students of The British College spent the afternoon in conservation with their elders and listening to them reminisce about days in the past. The Foundation also donated biscuits and blankets to the elderly.



As stated by the press release, Narendra Kandel, academic director of the college said, “Students should not only be academically involved but should also indulge in extracurricular activities to improve society.”[break]



At the same time, Safalta Shrestha, founder and coordinator of the Foundation, stated that the students are as committed to such social activities as they are to their studies.
