The protestors led by party Chairman Matrika Yadav alleged that the funds made available to DDC for local development had been distributed among the big political parties. Daily business at the DDC office was affected due to the sit-in.
The party´s district secretary Dinesh Yadav said the sit-in was organized to pressure the DDC to make public the details of the development budget and to make its expenditures transparent.
About a month ago, Maoist leader Yadav, together with other political parties, had padlocked the DDC office accusing it of misappropriation of funds.
