Maoists to intensify protest against Prez's move

KATHMANDU, May 11: The Politburo meeting of the Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) party on Monday decided to intensify its protest against President Dr Ram Baran Yadav´s move of reinstating the army chief, according to our correspondent Ghanashyam Oja.



The party, in its meeting at Lalitpur, has decided to organize massive protest programs across the country on May 17.



The UCPN-Maoist has termed the president´s move "unconstitutional". The party´s senior leaders have said that they will not allow formation of a new government unless Dr Yadav´s decision is corrected.
