Organizing a press conference on Tuesday, Giriraj Bhandari, general manager of the Industrial Estate Management Ltd, said force will be used if the occupants ignored the repeated requests by the IEML to leave the government-owned buildings in Patan, Dharan, Nepalgunj and Pokhara industrial estates.
“The Maoist workers do not seem to be heeding our notice, if they ignored our request we would force them out of the premises after the deadline,” said Bhandari. IEML forced out the Maoist Young Communist League from Balaju industrial estate last week.
Meanwhile, Bhandari handed over the key of a Balaju warehouse to businessman Tayab Shah of Miracle Nepal. YCL had set up its camp in the warehouse for the past 21 months.
Shah said he had to bear loss worth Rs 1 million as the medicinal herbs stored in the warehouse went waste following the capture of his warehouse by the YCL workers. Following the seizure of his warehouse he was forced to close down his business too. He had invested about Rs 50 million in the firm.
