Maoist to withdraw protest if UML addresses their issues

KATHMANDU, June 10: A secretariat meeting of the Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) held on Wednesday decided to withdraw all protest programs including disruption in the House if UML proposes a draft proposal for agreement addressing all the issues raised by the party, according to state-run Nepal Television.



"We are awaiting draft proposal from UML," Maoist spokeperson Dinanath Sharma was quoted as saying by ABC Television. "If they address our issues, we will end the House impasse."



The meeting was held to discuss on the outcomes of the senior leaders´ talk with UML yesterday.
