With his daughter-in-law beside him and his grandson on his lap, Bhagat was staging a sit-in. [break]A big sized picture of his son hung from a tree trunk, demanding the party and his party-led government nab the murderers of his son and provide justice.
According to him, his son Dr Gyanendra Bin was killed at a primary health post in Chandranighapur, Rautahat last year but the government has failed to book the murderers. Maoist leader Krishna Bahadur Mahara was the home minister at the time.
"I did not get justice even during the time when my party leader was holding the home ministry portfolio," Bhagat complained to Republica, "I, along with my family members are on a sit-in expecting justice."
Besides Bhagat, his daughter-in-law Sunita and one-year and seven-year old grandson, his sisters and brothers have also joined the sit-in.
"I sold my properties for my son´s education. The grandsons have been left in lurch. The pain of loss of the son far out weighs the importance of politics," said Bhagat, "I will continue the sit-in here through the plenum period."
He is not happy with the party for the failure to nab the perpetrators though he said he has been working for the party wholeheartedly. He said the perpetrators have been protected by political parties.
"I see the politically-protect murderers walking through the area where my house is located," said Bhagat, "I do not see anyone taking initiatives to arrest them."
He said there has been no investigation into the murder due to political protection. He was seen urging the participants to raise their voice in his favor at the plenum.
"If I do not get justice here, I will continue my sit-in at Parishdanda [the party headquarters]," Bhagat said, "I will not leave the capital until I get justice."
