Winning the toss, Biratnagar elected to bat first and put up 116 runs losing seven wickets at the Pulchowk Cricket Ground. Opener Sunny Pun scored 40 runs while Santosh Baral and Kushal Tuladhar contributed 23 and 14 runs for Biratnagar. No other batsman could reach double figures. [break]

In reply, opener Anil Mandal struck 88 runs off 59 balls including eight boundaries and four sixes. Mandal´s blistering innings gave a six-wicket victory to Birgunj in 17.4 overs.
Mandal´s score is the highest run scored by any Nepali batsman in national T20 tournaments. Dipendra Chaudhary held the previous record of unbeaten 68 runs, which he set during the ongoing tournament against Birgunj. Mandal was adjudged man-of-the match for his knock.
In another match of the day, Region No 4 Bhairahawa beat Region No 6 Baitadi by four wickets.

Batting first, Baitadi managed to accumulate 78 runs in allotted 20 overs losing seven wickets. Binod Chhetri (16 runs), Binod Bhandari (12 runs) and Shakti Bhandari (14 runs) were the top contributors for Baitadi.
Man-of-the-match Rahul Kumar BK claimed three wickets for Bhairahawa.
Bhairahawa met the target in 16.3 overs losing six wickets in their run chase. Antim Thapa (20 runs), Dipen Lamgade (18 runs) and Durgesh Rajali (16 runs) were topscorers for the winning side.
