According to police, Moti Lal BK killed his wife Manju, 19, by attacking with a Khukuri at around 1 pm this afternoon, taking advantage of absence of other family members in the house.[break]
The couple had been living separately for some time following domestic dispute.
Moti Lal has been absconding after the incident and a search is underway to nab him, DSP Sudan Singh Basnet at District Police Office informed. Local had informed the police about the incident as soon as they got the information.
The body of the victim is being carried out at Phaplu-based District Hospital. The incident site is some two hours’ walking distance from Salleri, the district headquarters.
