According to the final 18 member squad (including four reserved) announced by CAN on Wednesday, 15 of them belong to the last year's squad and 13 among them are listed in regular squad. Only three new faces have got entry into the squad including two reserves.Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi is the only new face to have made entry in the regular squad while Kamal Airee and Himanshu Dutta are other new faces to be named in reserved list.
Raju Rijal (captain), Aarif Sheikh, Ashish Dhami, Shankar Rana, Prem Tamang, Saurabh Khanal, Sandeep Sunar, Yogendra Karki, Sushil Kandel, Sunil Dhamala, Deepesh Shrestha and Dipendra Airee were also in the squad last time.
Similarly, Rajbir Singh who was reserved player last time has been included in the regular squad. However, Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi is new face in the regular squad.
Likewise, Irshad Ahemed, who was regular member last time, was included in reserved squad and Kushal Bhurtel has been once against been listed as reserved player.
The CAN had called 45 players for the first phase of closed camp training and reduced to 24 members for the second phase before announcing the final squad.
Host Malaysia, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Nepal will take part in the tournament.
