The embassy, in a statement said that the main entrance was built was a part of the Chancery construction project and provides enhanced facilities for the visitors.
The gate near Shangrila Hotel in Lazimpat will be closed for general public from today, according to the embassy.
The embassy has requested all the visitors to use the Lainchaur-side gate.
