Maharjan wins Asian Paint's design

KATHMANDU, Aug 21: Niran Maharjan of Institute of Engineering (IoE), Pulchowk Campus has won the 'Asian Paints All Nepal Architecture Design Competition 2014-15' for architectural college students across the country.

Issuing a press release, the company also said Palistha Bajracharya from IOE was declared the first runner-up. Maharjan and Bajracharya were awarded with cash prize of Rs 70,000 and Rs 40,000, respectively.

The participants had to complete a project under the topic 'Highway Service Centre located at Kurintar', opposite of Riverside Spring Resort, the release said. Out of the 30 qualified students, the winners were selected by external juries comprising of leading professional architects of the country, according to the release.
