Locals obstruct highway, demand prez rule

RAJBIRAJ, Aug 25: Locals of Bishnupur VDC in Saptari obstructed the East-West Highway for an hour on Wednesday demanding presidential rule in the country.



Locals took to the streets saying that presidential rule is the need of the hour as the political parties have failed to resolve the political deadlock.



The Civil Society group led by Manoj Kumar Yadav, a former local leader of the Madhesi People´s Rights Forum (MPRF), had obstructed traffic movement from 8 am. The agitating locals also demanded resignation of all the Constituent Assembly members.



The group has said that it would continue to stage protest until their demands are met.
