KATHMANDU, Sept 7: Liverpool and Prime College on Monday secured quarterfinal berths in the Ncell U-18 Inter-college Basketball Tournament being held at the Army Physical Training and Sports Center in Lagankhel.

Liverpool registered a narrow 59-55 win over LRI College. Ashis Basnet contributed 29 points for the winning team. Prime toiled hard to beat Times 43-39 in another match.
Nischal Maharjan scored 19 points from Prime. However, both Prime and Times made it to the knockout stage. Golden Gate, which has already secured a quarterfinal berth, registered a thumping 77-43 win over NASA riding on 15 points from Khukhen Lama. Telecom operator Ncell is the organizer of the event which features 16 teams in total.
