According to the company, Optimus L5 will be targeted at office executives who have faster Internet access and require fast processing system.
Officials of CG Impex hopes the new handset will strengthen the lineup of LG smartphones in the Nepali market. Optimus L5 is a middle-end phone with the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Operating System. It will cost around Rs 28,000.

“This new device will change the scenario of LG mobiles in Nepal as it can win the heart of customers who are fond of carrying attractive gadgets," said Shrestha. He further added that by the help of LG Optimus L5.
LG launched the phone in India about a month ago. “It is getting good response there because of its advanced technology and upgraded version. We expect similar response in the local market,” said Shrestha.
The Optimus L5 sports 4-inch capacitive touchscreen which supports 16M colors and 320 by 480 pixels resolution. It has 5 MP camera with LED flash, 4GB of internal flash storage plus a microSD slot that supports up to 32 GB. CG Impex is giving away 2GB memory card free with LG Optimus L5.
The phone supports Wi-Fi, 3.5G and Bluetooth connectivity. It has GPS with turn-by-turn navigation plus access to a massive range of downloadable applications. Similarly, it has a Stereo FM radio and 1,500mAh battery having a longer lifespan.
The slim body measuring 118x67x9.5mm and minimum weight makes Optimus L5 an attractive handset. “Optimus L5´s design is somewhat reminiscent of the old LG Chocolate range and most probably it is the best phone available in the market,” Shrestha told Republica.
