KATHMANDU, March 31: Laxmi Bank Ltd is completing 14 years of operation on Friday. Issuing a statement on Thursday, the bank said that it has emerged as a major player across all business lines -- retail, mid market, corporate and treasury -- in these 14 years.
"The bank is widely recognized as one of the best managed banks in Nepal with high standards of corporate governance, risk management systems and strong technology," reads the statement of the bank.

Established in 2002 as a regional bank based in Birgunj, the bank now has 49 branch offices and a range of digital channels including 62 ATMs as well as Internet and mobile banking.
The bank also has two subsidiaries -- Laxmi Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (a licensed micro finance institution) and Laxmi Capital Market Limited.
"All key financial indicators are well within prudential and regulatory norms including Non Performing Assets of 1.14 percent as at the end of the second quarter of the current financial year," the statement added.
