Kutumba started the concert by wishing the gathered mass a happy Dashain and playing the Malashri - the tune of Dashain. After that, as the crowd responded to their beats, the group played songs from their new album. [break]
The atmosphere was vibrant as the band seemed to be enjoying themselves as much as the audience.
Their album was launched by French Ambassador, His Excellency, Jean-Charles Demarquis; and folklorist and cultural expert, Professor Tulasi Diwasa.

This is the fifth album released by the six-member, Nepali folk music group; who are set to perform at the Commonwealth Games. They will be leaving for India today.
Speaking at the event, HE Demarquis mentioned how rare it was for folk-music acts like Kutumba to be popular among the youth. “Six years ago, my predecessor unveiled their first album, and I am honored to continue the tradition,” he added.
Meanwhile Prof Diwasa discussed the cultural and musical aspects of the band. “I feel that the band incorporates the sounds of the people of Nepal through the various musical-instruments they use,” he said.
