Kriti gets PMS license

KATHMANDU: The Securities Board of Nepal (Sebon) – the capital market regulator -- has issued a Portfolio Management Service (PMS) license to Kriti Capital & Investments Ltd. Kriti Capital is the 12th Merchant banker to obtain a Portfolio Management Service License under Merchant Banking Regulations, 2008. [break]



A statement issued on Thursday says Kriti Capital will introduce its Portfolio Management Services to the market soon. Portfolio Management Service is an active fund management service offered to individual or institutional investors to assist them in investing their savings or surplus funds in portfolios of shares, bonds, deposits and other securities for better returns by spreading and reducing the risk.





EBL´s profit increased by over 34%



KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): The operating profit earned by Everest Bank Ltd (EBL) increased by 34.14 percent during Fiscal Year 2013/14 ended mid-July compared to the amount recorded the previous year.



A statement issued by bank shows that the bank earned an operating profit of over Rs 2.40 billion during the year.

The figure is based on the provisional accounts presented by the bank management to its board of directors´ meeting.

The statement also notes that the bank´s non-performing assets dropped to 0.62 percent from 0.84 recorded from the earlier year.





Revenue collection up by 21.24%, VAT largest contributor
