The octogenarian founder leader of Nepali Congress had refused to attend the party´s 12th General Convention and had instead gone to a naturopathy center in Bhaktapur for treatment a few days ago.[break]
He was brought to Norvic after doctors, who reached his residence Thursday, advised him to be hospitalized. A smiling Bhattarai assured his well-wishers and reporters that he was well upon reaching the hospital.
Dr Bharat Rawat, who is involved in his treatment, said Bhattarai was in a stable condition with normal blood pressure. “He´s here for general treatment for weakness and poor eating. He has past problems with lungs and his heart function is also low,” Dr Rawat said.
Dr Rawat said his condition will be further known when the reports arrive Friday afternoon.
