Koirala, Singh hold talks

KATHMANDU, Aug 6: Visiting Nepali Congress (NC) President Sushil Koirala held talks with Chairman of Samaj Party Mulayam Singh Yadav at New Delhi on Tuesday morning.



It has been learned that during the meeting Samajbadi Party Chairman Yadav stressed on ending the long-standing political transition in Nepal after holding the election in stipulated time.[break]



Koirala is on a six-day official visit to India at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.



During the meeting, the leaders duo also discussed various issues including security and crimes in the border areas of Nepal and Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Samajbadi Party is a ruling party at Upper Prasesh which shares boarder with Nepal.



Saying that there is no alternatives but to hold election in time, Koirala also reminded Yadav about the cordial relation between SP leader Ram Narayan Lohiya and Nepali Congress in the past.



On Monday,  Koirala had held talks with Indian PM Singh in New Delhi.
