Khadka, Lama share lead

KATHMANDU, April 23: Rabi Khadka carded two-under 70 on the second day of the Surya Nepal NPGA Tour Championship on Tuesday at the Gokarna Golf Club and shared overall lead with overnight leader Sanjay Lama at three-under 141.



Khadka, who had played one-under 71 on Monday, carded identical one-under 35 on both front and back nines on Tuesday. Lama, who had shot three-under 69 on Monday, carded even-par 72 on Tuesday.[break]



Overnight joint-leader Deepak Acharya faltered on Tuesday and submitted a card of eight-over 80. He had carded three-under 69 on the first round.



Ramesh Nagarkoti produced the best card of the second day with three-under 69 and remained on the third position with overall score of one-under 143. Purna Sharma, Pashupati Sharma, Ramesh Adhikari and Surya Sharma shared the fourth position with the overall scores of two-over 146.



In amateur section, Bishnu Sharma took the lead with overall score of five-over 149. He carded even-par 72 on Tuesday. Dinesh Prajapati (four-over 76) and Tirtha Paudel (two-over 74) remained on the second position with nine-over 153.
