Kathmandy beat Region No 7 Janakpur by five wickets while Pokhara beat Region No 5 Nepalgunj by three wickets. [break]
In the match played at TU Ground Kirtipur, man-of-the-match Jeevan Lamsal´s unbeaten 71 runs helped Kathmandu successfully chase the target of 132 in 31.5 overs. Winning the toss, Janakpur opted to bat first and scored 131 runs losing all wickets in 30.1 overs. Janakpur received 50 runs as extra.
Sanjeet Pandey was the highest scorer for Janakpur with 26 runs off 41 balls. Rahul Thakur was not out on 18 runs and Amrit Giri scored 17 runs. Other than these three batsmen, none of the Janakpur batsmen were able to reach the double digit figure.
Mohammad Shahid grabbed four wickets conceding 29 runs while RamKrishna Jaishwal and Pranil Karki took two wickets each.

Chasing the moderate total, Kathmandu´s openers Adil Khan and Jeevan Lamshal gave a good start for the team. Khan and Lamshal shared a 41-run partnership for the first wicket. Khan was sent back to the pavilion on 15 runs off 20 balls. Lamsal was not out on 71 runs off 99 balls that included 11 boundaries and a huge six. Skipper Rajkumar Karki scored 21 runs.
Sasibhusan Mishra grabbed two wickets while Ajay Paswan, Rajeev Yadhav and Rahul Thakur took a wicket each.
In another match played at Institute of Engineering Ground, Pulchowk, winning the toss Nepalgunj scored 134 runs losing all the wickets in 29.5 overs. Sanam Shrestha scored 26 runs off 33 balls with four boundaries. Shishir Thapa scored 26 runs off 28 balls.
Man-of-the-match Sangharsha Poudel grabbed three wickets conceding 21 runs while Sushil Kandela nd Saujan BC took two wickets each. Rajesh Lamshal, Pankaj Darai and Niraj Pandey took a wicket each.
Pokhara successfully chased the target in 25.4 overs losing seven wickets. Aashik Shrestha was the highest scorer with 25 runs off 38 balls with three boundaries.
Opener Akash Thapa scored 17 runs off 13 balls with three boundaries. Prajwal Shahi took three wickets while Akash Bista grabbed two wickets.
