The VDC secretaries submitted their resignation letters to Local Development Officer Guru Prasad Subedi.
Subedi said talks were on with the local administration to provide security to the secretaries.
Likewise, VDC secretaries of Dailekh also resigned en masse on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, VDC secretaries of Arghakhanchi district have asked the district administration to provide them security after they received threats from the Front. They have all converged in the district headquarters after the Front issued life threats to them if they didn´t resign from their posts.
CDO Balbhadra Giri said there was no need for VDC secretaries to resign.
Prakash Bhattarai of VDC Secretary Welfare Protection Forum said they are yet to decide on whether to resign or not. He said discussions were on and they would decide on it after examining the situation in other districts.
The front has issued similar threats to VDC secretaries in Gulmi.
Meanwhile, VDC secretaries of Sankhuwasabha returned to work on Wednesday, two days after submitting their resignations citing threats from the Front.
The secretaries returned to work after the local administration expressed commitment to provide them security and hold talks with the Front, CDO Rajiv Pokharel said.
