KATHMANDU, April 16: ‘Kadamandu: A story of one village’ by journalist and filmmaker Ramesh Khadka is all set to be screened at the 9th Al Jazeera International Documentary Film Festival. The festival is a four day event, starting on April 18 and ending on April 21, being organized at Doha.

The documentary shows the story of Kadamandu, a village in Western Nepal, where men migrate to other countries, especially India, in search of better opportunities. The men come back afflicted with HIV/AIDS and their wives and children are also affected. ‘Kadamandu’ in 30 minutes introduces us to the problem that exists not only in the village but also in other villages in the far western region.[break]
