The documentary shows the story of Kadamandu, a village in Western Nepal, where men migrate to other countries, especially India, in search of better opportunities. The men come back afflicted with HIV/AIDS and their wives and children are also affected. ‘Kadamandu’ in 30 minutes introduces us to the problem that exists not only in the village but also in other villages in the far western region.[break]
The short film won the ‘Best Documentary’ at the Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival 2012 (KIMFF). It was also screened at Toronto Nepali Film Festival 2013 and Kathmandu Short Film Festa 2013.
