Only 50 participants will be invited to the event, said Prem CN of Cheers Nepal, adding that the participants will be expected to contribute actively in the discussions. Different topics such as the labor crisis within the country, the existing problem of polarization, lack of sufficient and relevant post disaster action, and the importance of promoting tourism will be debated upon at the Mock Youth Parliament.The participants will be divided in groups of four where they will discuss and share their ideas and knowledge. They will also be expected to brainstorm and then come up with solutions to the existing problems of the country.
According to Prem, the event is a precursor to a bigger event which will occur after two weeks.
The event is open to all interested youth between the ages of 18 to 24. The last date for submission is Thursday evening and chosen applicants will be informed the next day on December 18. Registration is free.
