Altogether 12 teams have confirmed their participation in the tournament, according to NVA general secretary and coordinator of the tournament Birendra Khadka. The sponsor Kathmandu Metropolitan City and the co-sponsor Lalitpur sub-metropolitan city have provided Rs 300,000 and Rs 40,000 respectively to conduct the tourney. The top three teams will receive cash prize of Rs 30,000 Rs 20,000 and Rs 15,000 respectively along with the trophies and certificates.
On the occasion, NVA also announced it will provide Rs 100,000 for the treatment of ex-national volleyball player Dinesh Baniya, who is suffering from kidney problems.
