Indian envoy meets NC President

KATHMANDU, June 27: Nepali Congress president Sushil Koirala and Indian Ambassador to Nepal Jayant Prasad held a meeting on Thursday morning.



During the meeting, they discussed on the latest political situation of the country and election to the Constituent Assembly fixed for November 19. [break]



On the occasion, Indian Ambassador Jayant inquired about the ongoing initiative by political parties for election and outlet to the existing political stalemate, it is learnt.



Koirala said that the CA election would be held as per the consensus forged among political parties and added that they are committed to holding the election at any cost.



Koirala expressed the view that discussion is underway to ensure the participation of the dissenting parties in the election and added that election is an outlet to the political crisis of the country, so it should be made a success, Koirala´s personal aide Laxman Dhakal told RSS.



The Indian Ambassador also wished for better health of Koirala, who is going to the United States of America today for health check up, said Dhakal.
