India to provide Rs 4m for Malangawa drainage management

SARLAHI, Oct. 17: The Government of India has agreed to provide an assistance of Rs. 4 million rupees for drainage and culvert construction in Malangawa in Sarlahi district.



A memorandum of understanding (MoU) to that end has been signed between the Indian Embassy and the Malangawa Municipality amidst a programme here today, said the Embassy.



It may be noted that at the initiative of Chairman of Sadbhawana Party Rajendra Mahato, a proposal for assistance to this end was presented before the Indian Embassy three years back. Condition of drainage and waste management system of Malangawa municipality is very poor, it is learnt.
