IME, Global IME Bank provide scholarships

KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): IME Ltd and Global IME Bank Ltd have started distributing 'IME Global IME Aakanshya Scholarship'. Issuing a statement, IME said that it started the campaign by handing over two scholarships to a student each of Kalanki-based Ed Mark College and Kumaripati-based Omega College. Global IME Deputy CEO Janak Sharma Poudel and IME CEO Suman Pokharel have handed over the scholarships amid separate ceremonies organized on Thursday. According to IME, the scholarship, started in association with HISSAN and PABSON, will be provided to 100 students across the country. "IME and Global IME Bank expect to complete the scholarship fund disbursement all over the country within two weeks," the statement added.

KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): Sagarmatha Cement, in association with Standard Chartered Bank and Men's Room Reloaded (MRR), has initiated a post-earthquake relief program to people rendered homeless by the earthquake in Gorkha. The company has also requested the citizens to step up, once again, to help the families in these affected areas to fight the winter and prevent more deaths. It has also encouraged people to donate used winter clothes, blankets, shoes and jackets etc to help the quake-hit families.
