The shot was fired inside the house of Ram Suresh Chaudhary at Bishwokarma Chowk, Janakpur-4, Wednesday afternoon. [break]
Chaudhary´s daughter-in-law Sudhira Raya, 24, was injured. She has a bullet injury at the left part of her stomach. She is in critical condition, doctors involved in treating her said.
Sudhira told police that she shot herself, but Deputy Superintendent of Police Jagadish Pokharel said attempted murder cannot be ruled out. Sudhira´s husband Prabhat is absconding.
