After successful sessions in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore, the blues fiesta is in the capital to whet the palette of blues lovers and keeping with the tradition, the festival will be introducing a list of world class performers to the Nepali audience. [break]
“Although we have star performers who have been successful in the international blues scene, Hans Theessink (Austria) is the act to look out for,” said Kabin Tuladhar, the artist coordinator of the event. He added that Spanish act Jose Luis Pardo should be an interesting act to watch out for, as well.
Spread across five days, eight international performers from Brad Kava (USA) to Robert Owen Campbell Owen (Australia) will be jamming together to what can only be termed as the blues lover’s paradise.

ICMC 2.0.1.0, the inter-college music competition organized by the Kathmandu College of Management (KCM) is back with its 7th edition, the two-day preliminary rounds starting Friday, November 19 at Bhrikuti Mandap.
Altogether 35 bands will be competing against each other with 30 colleges within the valley and 5 from outside. Winners will be adjudged by 70% judges’ votes, and 30% audience votes.
As in the past, organizers of the event, the KCM student council has also taken initiatives to spread awareness about AIDS through the event.
The finale is scheduled to be held on Saturday, November 27.
