Home and decor expo from Friday

KATHMANDU, June 9: The Second Home and Décor Expo, an exhibition of indoor and outdoor decor goods, is going to be held at Bhrikuti Mandap, from Friday, in the capital.



The three-day expo to be organized by Direction Nepal, is expected to draw customers who are looking for quality home décor products.



“We are attempting to use this occasion as an opportunity to hold a mega sale of home décor goods,” Trilokeshwore Malla, managing director of Direction Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC), told a press conference on Tuesday. “Both domestic and imported products will be showcased at the exhibition.”



Organizers say that they have sent invitations to more than 30,000 individuals and institutions to visit the expo, which will feature more than 80 stalls by 62 exhibitors: the stalls will feature everything from furniture and internal fittings and to paints.



“This expo will be also be an opportunity for those who are looking to find the stuff they need to create their dream home,” Mahesh Khadgi, co-coordinator of the event said. The DECC, which has already organized more than 30 exhibition over two years, will not charge an entry free for visitors of the exhibition.



Besides buyers, the show also hopes to attract architects, hospital management personnel, restaurant owners, shopping-mall owners, property developers, businessmen, and distribution and foreign-trade industry professionals.



The DECC is also organizing its Seventh Higher Education and Career Fair from Thursday at the United World Trade Center. More than 50 educational institutions are participating at the four-day event.
