KATHMANDU, Jan 22: Himalmedia Private Ltd, the publisher of Himal Khabarpatrika magazine, has reinstated the 18 staffers who were sacked last month, radio reports said. The Executive Editor of Himal Khabarpatrika magazine, Kiran Nepal, welcomed the reinstated staffers at the magazine office on Wednesday following an agreement between Himalmedia management and Maoist-affiliated All Nepal Trade Union Federation. Himalmedia, citing operational losses, had sacked the 18 staffers from advertisement and circulation departments on Dec 26, 2008. Nepal said the reinstatement was a win for both the staff and the management.
