The magazine was launched in 1998 in the United Kingdom to promote tourism and encourage tourists to visit Nepal. Now the magazine covers the Himalayan region from Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, Pakistan, Sikkim, Darjeeling and other parts of South Asia and is available in the region too.[break]
Abishek Aryal, Country and Marketing Manager of Himalayas Publications, informed, “We’ve come to Nepal to let people know about the existence of the travel publication and the information it carries about Nepal tourism and the neighboring countries.”
Readers can also look forward to reading actor Rajesh Hamal’s column, ‘Traveling with Rajesh Hamal,’ where he will be writing about his experiences of traveling all over the country during the course of film shoots and also during his free time. The press release states that it was the actor’s interest in traveling that interested him in the offer.
Bookshops across Thamel, Lazimpat, Sanepa, Bhaktapur, and Pokhara are now selling the magazine, which is priced at Rs 150. It is also be available in department stores like Bhat Bhateni, Namaste Supermarket and Big Mart.
